Summer of Service

We've been blessed to be a part of some amazing things already this summer and we wanted to share some of those with you.  Summer of Service kicked off on May 17 with a Day of Service.  Eight local churches got together to do over 40 simultaneous service projects throughout the Quad-Cities.  The next evening, the Body of Christ in Prescott gathered for a Night of Worship together.  Check it out:

Camp Opportunity was the week of May 27-31 and we had another great year with the kids from the Child Crisis Center.

Here are some pictures of our day at Goldwater Lake.  It was definitely a highlight of the week for the kids.  We also had wonderful times in Bible Study, games, relay races, crafts, a gigantic sundae and a special visit to Hallelujah Horse Ranch.

Last weekend, for Father's Day we had a diaper drive to bring in diapers for the community non-profits that serve families in the area.  We gathered over 5,000 diapers, as well as wipes and other baby supplies.  Thank you all for your generosity, I could barely fit all of them in my car!

Please be praying for Hands and Feet Ministries as we continue on with the Summer of Service.  This weekend we will be offering an informational meeting to anyone interested on being a part of a short term team with us this year.  Pray that God would lead the right people to this meeting, and that we communicate His heart for the places we serve in a way that gets people excited to be a part of what He is doing!!
